Suan Son Beach

The beach stretches for about 7 km and caters for a diverse clientele. At one end of the beach sits the beautiful Bari Lamai resort, where you can enjoy fine food and drinks as you watch the sun set over the Island of Samet. Moving to the far end you will encounter the beginnings of the fishing port of Ban Phae. Here you will encounter a number of excellent restaurants and, for the more adventurous, a wind surfing school. In between there are literally hundreds of beach front restaurants that serve traditional Thai dishes. The Sea Bass in spicy lemon soup is a speciality.
A particular favourite, amongst Thai tourists, is the pine tree covered area around the Arboreatum . Here you will find a nature walk and a number of traditional stall selling Thai food.
